Florida Institute for Child Welfare
Supports financial operations and implements efficient workflow processes. This includes budget management, procurement, expense and payroll corrections, reconciliations, financial analysis, and budget forecasting.
Reviews transactions for accuracy and compliance. Must demonstrate clear knowledge of financial and accounting practices and university financial guidelines. Reviews and approves travel, purchasing transactions, and PCard transactions, ensures accurate chart field information, appropriate expenditures, and compliance with University requirements.
Assists with post-award activities with the responsibility of maintaining the Contracts and Grants financial tracker, prepares financial and encumbrance reports, and supports year-end close-out, carryforward planning, and contract budget allocations. Drafts standard operating procedures, implements financial tools, completes institutional reporting requirements, and manages scholarship administration. Provides administrative and financial support to the Associate Director of Administration and completes assigned special projects. Works closely with executive leadership, program directors, staff, and students to meet financial and administrative needs while ensuring adherence to University guidelines. Participates in Institute initiatives, staff meetings, events, and professional development activities.
Bachelor's degree with two years of experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: or a combination of post high school education and relevant experience equal to six years)
Knowledge of financial accounting principles (GAAP), post-award experience, budget management and reconciliation, financial and data analysis, knowledge of procurement practices, advanced-level administrative support experience, excellent communication (verbal and written).
