Qualifications

• Advanced degree in accounting or related field, or significant financial management experience.

• Knowledge of HR policies and HR laws; SHRM designation preferred.
• Experience with nonprofit and church accounting structures.

Responsibilities

We operate with a vision and commitment to SHOW LOVE as we are TRANSFORMED by the love of Christ, we are UNITED in the love of Christ, and we are SENT with the love of Christ.**Job Description:**The role of the Albany City Church Business Manager is to ensure that all business, financial, and administrative operations of the church are run efficiently, keeping the organization sustainable and organized; aligned with Albany City Church’s value of Showing Love to Albany and beyond; fulfilling our mission to be Transformed by the love of Christ, United in the love of Christ, and Sent with the Love of Christ.**Job Responsibilities:**The business manager will function as an integral part of our church staffing, providing finance and HR leadership and oversight to our staff and our various ministries. The business manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:· Develop, document, and update business processes and policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls and consistency.· Financial Accounting and supervision of church finances while working with our Finance Committee.· Development and administration of HR processes, policies, and procedures in alignment with Albany City Church’s vision and mission.· Prepare draft of annual budget for both Albany City Church and our upcoming campus in Eugene, and completion the budget process through approval and implementation.· Maintain and ensure compliance with the church’s contracts/leases with vendors, businesses, and tenants.· Promote a Christ-centered and healthy office environment that serves visitors, members, families, and all staff with efficient and prompt service, and clear communication.· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.**Qualifications:**The ideal candidate will possess:· A clear Christian testimony, upstanding character, and a love to advance God’s Kingdom.· A commitment to the church’s mission, vision, and values.· An advanced degree in accounting or related field, or significant experience in managing budgets and financial operations of an organization.· Proven success as a Business/Office Manager or similar work experience.· Strong organizational and communication skills.· Knowledge of HR policies, practices and laws.· HR experience with SHRM designation or HR related course work preferred.· Organizational agility to be flexible in a dynamic environment.· Acumen in technology, i.e., Word Suite – including Word, Excel, Spreadsheets, QuickBooks, organizational reporting documents, etc.· Thorough knowledge of church/nonprofit organizations, and their structure.· Experience with business management metrics for reporting purposes.**Benefits:**This is a part-time to full-time position with annual salary of up to $60,000 – Hours to be commensurate with selected applicant’s availability and pay to be commensurate with experience, education, and hours worked (part or full-time).Health account benefit available, depending on full-time status.**START DATE:** Start date is January 2027 or sooner as available.**FOR INFORMATION AND TO APPLY:**Position open until filled.
