Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. seeks a Business Management Manager 1 to lead program control activities within the Launcher Operating Unit. You will manage resources, cost estimation, tracking, and financial governance for multiple contracts, interfacing with customers and internal teams.

You will prepare data, perform variance analyses, and support pricing, negotiations, and contract documents. This hybrid role in Sunnyvale, with 25% travel, offers a strong benefits package and advancement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in a related role or Master's with 3+ years; 9+ years acceptable in lieu.
  • Experience in a Program Control Environment—cost control systems, monitoring costs and schedules on government contracts.
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis; pricing and proposals; ability to present to management.

Responsibilities

  • Program resource management, including cost estimation, allocation, tracking and analysis.
  • Prepare and present financial data to internal and external customers with variance analysis and forecast.
  • EVMS oversight with COBRA reporting to satisfy deliverables.
  • CEAC preparation and review; assist with contract negotiations.
  • Support pricing and proposal activities; review of contractual documents (TTOs).
  • Oversee subcontractor invoicing and funding; collaborate with customers and teams.

This position may be staffed as a hybrid role and offers the 9/80 schedule.What You’ll Get to Do:The Business Management Manager 1 will support/lead all business management activities within the Launcher Operating Unit (Marine Systems Business Unit in Maritime/Land Systems Sensors Division). This position will be reporting to the Launcher Operating Unit Business Manager.Business Management Manager 1 roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Program resource management, including cost estimation, allocation, tracking, and analysisPreparation and presentation of financial data to internal and external customers, including variance analysis and forecastCompliance and financial reporting in support of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and monthly Indicated Finals (IF)EVMS oversight with COBRA reporting to satisfy internal/external deliverables.Comprehensive Estimate-at-Complete (CEAC) preparation and reviewAssistance with contract negotiationsSupport of pricing and proposal activitiesReview of contractual documents, including Technical Task OrdersSubcontractor invoicing and fundingOn-going collaboration with the customer and functional teamsManagement and development of Program Control Analyst (PCA) staffBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with 5 years of professional industry related experience - OR – a Master’s degree with 3 years of professional industry related experience.Will consider 9 years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirementExperience in a Program Control Environment - setting up cost control system, and monitoring costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control systemExperience in financial planning and analysisExperience in pricing and proposal activitiesProficient in Microsoft Office suite and SAPExperience preparing and presenting financial analysis to team and/or management.Ability to travel domestically 25% of the time (If not based at Sunnyvale campus)Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret security clearancePreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related disciplineMBA certificationPrevious experience managing/supervising program, project, or personnel.
