Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Business Management Manager 1 in Sunnyvale, CA, with a hybrid work setup and a 9/80 schedule. The role supports Launcher Operating Unit business management activities and reports to the Launcher OU Business Manager.

The position involves cost estimation, financial data presentation, GAAP-based reporting, and collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure contract performance and successful program delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of professional industry related experience OR Master’s degree with 3 years.
• 9 years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirement.
• Experience in a Program Control Environment with cost control and schedule monitoring.
• Experience in financial planning and analysis.
• Experience in pricing and proposal activities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP.
• Experience preparing and presenting financial analysis to team/management.
• Current, active DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Program resource management, including cost estimation, allocation, tracking, and analysis.
• Preparation and presentation of financial data to internal and external customers, including variance analysis and forecast.
• Compliance and financial reporting in support of AOP and monthly Indicated Finals EVMS with COBRA reporting.
• Comprehensive CEAC preparation and review.
• Assistance with contract negotiations.
• Support of pricing and proposal activities.
• Review of contractual documents, including TTOs, Subcontractor invoicing and funding.
• On-going collaboration with the customer and functional teams.
• Management and development of Program Control Analyst staff.

This position offers the 9/80 schedule.

What You’ll Get to Do:

The Business Management Manager 1 will support/lead all business management activities within the Launcher Operating Unit (Marine Systems Business Unit in Maritime/Land Systems Sensors Division). This position will be reporting to the Launcher Operating Unit Business Manager.

Business Management Manager 1 roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Program resource management, including cost estimation, allocation, tracking, and analysis
• Preparation and presentation of financial data to internal and external customers, including variance analysis and forecast
• Compliance and financial reporting in support of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and monthly Indicated Finals (IF) EVMS oversight with COBRA reporting to satisfy internal/external deliverables.
• Comprehensive Estimate-at-Complete (CEAC) preparation and review
• Assistance with contract negotiations
• Support of pricing and proposal activities
• Review of contractual documents, including Technical Task Orders Subcontractor invoicing and funding
• On-going collaboration with the customer and functional teams
• Management and development of Program Control Analyst (PCA) staff

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of professional industry related experience - OR – a Master’s degree with 3 years of professional industry related experience.
• Will consider 9 years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirement.
• Experience in a Program Control Environment - setting up cost control system, and monitoring costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system.
• Experience in financial planning and analysis.
• Experience in pricing and proposal activities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and SAP.
• Experience preparing and presenting financial analysis to team and/or management.
• Current, active DoD Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline MBA certification.
• Previous experience managing/supervising program, project, or personnel. This may be a lead position on a team.
• Experience with Earned Value and performance measurement baseline concepts and ability to apply them to multiple contracts, CLINs and control accounts.
• Understanding of DOD contracts, government Cost Accounting Standards, and the FAR Experience with Cognos forecasting system.

MSBSMG Primary Level Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $165,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
