An established law firm is seeking a Business Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Indianapolis, IN office. This role offers the opportunity to engage in various stages of business litigation, handling cases involving complex commercial issues for a diverse client base. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in commercial litigation, with skills in managing litigation procedures, discovery, and e-discovery.
Location
Duties
- Participate in all phases of business litigation, from initial filing to resolution.
- Handle cases involving complex commercial litigation matters, such as:
- Consumer or shareholder class actions
- Antitrust litigation
- Merger and acquisition litigation
- Securities litigation
- Corporate governance disputes
- Contract disputes
- Business valuation disputes
- Multi-district or multi-forum litigation
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and oral arguments as needed.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting, with a focus on commercial litigation.
- Strong background in litigation procedures and discovery.
- Experience with depositions, hearings, and oral arguments is a plus.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
- Active membership in the Indiana State Bar.
