Job summary

Midvale City is seeking a Community Support Tech-Business License Administrator to manage business licenses and related building permit applications within the Community Development department.

Under supervision, you will coordinate reviews, calculate fees, handle payments, renewals, and reporting while maintaining records and delivering professional customer service to residents and businesses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus two years of complex administrative support or records management experience.
• Prefer experience with business licensing and/or building permitting processes.
• Notary certification or ability to obtain within three months of hire.
• Proficient with Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with Caselle, iWorq, Bluebeam, or OnBase is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administers business license issuance, renewal notices, and related fee calculations.
• Handles cash processing and data entry across multiple software systems.
• Coordinates application reviews with all relevant departments prior to issuance.
• Maintains filing systems and generates periodic reports for the department.
• Provides customer service via in-person, phone, and email communications.
• Supports building permit processes as needed and assists with GRAMA requests.
