Job summary

Living Innovations is seeking a Business Liaison in Bangor, ME, to develop and manage strategic relationships with businesses and community partners. You will work closely with DVR/DVBI consultants to create meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

You will organize tours, represent the company at career fairs, and maintain partner records, while ensuring clear internal communication and collaboration across teams.

Living Innovations is seeking a Business Liaison to join our dedicated Employment Support team. As a Business Liaison, you'll be the driving force behind building and nurturing strategic relationships with businesses and community partners across Maine. You’ll collaborate closely with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation/ Division of Vocational Rehabilitation for Blind and/or visually impaired (DVR/DVBI) Business Consultants, serving as a key facilitator to help create meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Your passion for connecting with people and your knack for networking will be essential in helping individuals achieve their professional goals and thrive in the workplace.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Business Consultants to build and maintain strategic business relationships.
• Organize and lead business tours and share business-related information with our team.
• Represent Living Innovations Employment at career fairs and networking events.
• Maintain accurate business connection records in Maine Job Link, with weekly updates.
• Act as a central point of contact, ensuring strong communication and collaboration across our teams.

Certifications (We'll provide training for these if you don't have them!)

• Employment Specialist Certification from an ACRE-approved program (to be completed within 6 months of hire).
• DSP certification, including job coaching modules (to be completed within 6 months of hire).

Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• A valid state issued driver’s license and proof of current vehicle insurance.
• Access to a reliable vehicle.
• One year’s experience supporting individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities.
• The ability to work independently.
• Sales background is a plus.
• Must pass comprehensive background checks per state and company regulations/policies.
