Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Business Intelligence Specialist in Alexandria, VA to lead the design and deployment of an executive Grafana dashboarding environment. You will integrate data from ServiceNow, Splunk and other sources to provide real-time observability and KPI visibility for executives.

The role requires 3–5 years in dashboarding and data visualization, a Bachelor's degree, and eligibility for TS/SCI clearance.

Business Intelligence Specialist

Location: Alexandria, Virginia (Fulltime Onsite)

Role Overview:

Our organization is seeking a Business Intelligence Specialist to help build an executive-level dashboarding experience. In this role, you will use Grafana to integrate data from ServiceNow, Splunk, and other operational systems to support real-time observability across the organization. You will lead the buildout of a centralized Grafana dashboarding environment to support executive-level visibility and operational monitoring, transitioning from existing Power BI solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize an executive dashboard in Grafana to enhance and improve existing views.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to gather requirements and define meaningful KPIs, metrics, and dashboard insights.
• Build and configure back-end integrations between Grafana and multiple data sources, including ServiceNow and Splunk.
• Build and implement Grafana dashboards that monitor systems, performance, application health, and key KPIs.
• Optimize dashboard user experience by ensuring visualizations are intuitive, actionable, and aligned with stakeholder needs.
• Provide technical expertise for assessing, enhancing, and maintaining existing dashboard solutions.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree is required.

Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI Clearance.

Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience in web development, dashboarding, data visualization, or systems integration. Experience with dashboard development (design, build, and optimization) and data source integration is needed. Experience working with executive-level dashboards is also required.

Technical Skills: CompTIA Security+ certification is required, or must be obtained within a few months of starting. Candidates should have experience setting up and configuring dashboards that ingest data from multiple sources and familiarity with HTTP APIs.

Other: This is a full-time position working 100% on-site, Monday-Friday.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ServiceNow and Grafana is desired.
• Knowledge of SQL and scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript is desired.
• Experience with DevOps tools and cloud monitoring platforms is desired.
• Knowledge of integrating with or visualizing from ServiceNow or Splunk is beneficial.
• An understanding of real-time monitoring use cases is helpful.
