Ally Financial is seeking an Associate Analyst - Business Intelligence to develop, enhance, and maintain BI solutions enabling data-driven decisions. You will use SQL and Power BI to analyze data, build reports, validate data, and translate insights for stakeholders.

The role partners with business and data teams to understand needs, investigate questions, and deliver reliable data products. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with SQL, data warehousing, Power BI, and MS Excel.
• Experience gathering business requirements, using BI tools to extract data, formulate metrics and build reports.
• Analytical drive to break down complex problems and deliver results.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both business and technical teams.
• Quick learner with ability to initiate and execute small to medium projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and BI solutions.
• Write and troubleshoot SQL queries to analyze, transform, and validate data.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into data and reporting solutions.
• Perform data validation, quality checks, and root-cause analysis to ensure reporting accuracy.
• Analyze data and communicate actionable insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on reporting and analytics initiatives.
• Support production reporting by monitoring refreshes, answering data questions, and investigating defects.
