Business Intelligence Analyst Intermediate

Location: Work from home (Pennsylvania)

Shift: Days (United States of America)

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Job Summary: The Intermediate BI Analyst will provide analytic support to the business or clinical area supported, utilizing knowledge of data structures, programming, and statistics. They will interpret data, communicate insights, and support decision-making processes. The role requires minimal supervision, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate analyses for non-technical stakeholders. The analyst must demonstrate initiative, organizational skills, and foster trust in client relationships.

Job Duties:

  1. Consult with stakeholders to gather project requirements and define scope for small to medium projects.
  2. Collaborate in designing and developing reporting solutions and analytic studies.
  3. Plan projects and manage task completion.
  4. Estimate time and effort for tasks based on requirements.
  5. Manage projects independently, stay updated with industry trends, and become proficient with BI software used at Geisinger.
  6. Recommend analysis approaches and additional reporting based on business questions.
  7. Develop, validate, and execute queries; create reports; interpret data; and make recommendations.
  8. Present findings to internal stakeholders.
  9. Utilize descriptive and inferential statistics.
  10. Identify and troubleshoot data quality issues.
  11. Share knowledge and collaborate with team members.
  12. Participate in strategic departmental initiatives.
  13. Maintain attention to detail and clarity in reporting.
  14. Share relevant information proactively and support team goals.
  15. Follow departmental policies and procedures.

Work is typically performed in an office environment. Relevant experience may be a combination of work experience and education: Associate’s Degree (2 years), Bachelor’s Degree (4 years), Master’s Degree (6 years).
