Position Summary:
The CU System Office of Advancement provides excellent customer service, strategy, expertise, and efficiency to our partners on CU’s campuses and at the University of Colorado Foundation. We support CU’s fundraising and engagement goals through advancement operations that include constituent research and development, data management, business intelligence, technical architecture, annual giving, planned giving, gift administration, marketing and communications, IT, budget and finance, and more. The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is a member of the Business Intelligence unit at the University of Colorado’s (CU) Central Advancement Office. This position contributes to the team’s transformative impact by lending strategic insight and keen analysis to Advancement’s operations across the University of Colorado System. This position supports all four campuses, the President’s Office, central Advancement, and the CU Foundation, through targeted reporting, technical administration, and campus partner success. The BI Analyst responds to requests submitted through the centralized report/data queue and aids ongoing projects by working closely with clients and information technology (IT) teams to transform data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make informed business decisions. The BI Analyst is tasked with maintaining, improving, and crafting enterprise- and application-level reports using Business Intelligence tools, enabling sophisticated analytic tools support for partners across the university, and supporting a reporting community of practice requiring a balance of technical, customer service, and project management skills. Successful candidates have had success in inspiring change across a distributed system.
This position reports to the Associate Director of Business Intelligence & Data Architecture and is exempt from the State of Colorado Classified Staff System.
Where You Will Work:
The CU System Office of Advancement follows a “flexibility first” approach to work that defines how we manage and make use of in-person time. As a fully remote position, this role will work remotely with the exception of four separate callback weeks per year— when all our colleagues are expected to be together in the office. During callback weeks, this role is expected to work from the CU System office at 1800 Grant St. in Denver, Colorado. Any additional in-office time will be determined by this roles direct manager.
