Job summary

Mapfre, a global insurer, seeks a Business Intelligence Analyst to shape data-driven decisions across the enterprise. You will develop impactful visualizations and reports for non-technical audiences and support ad hoc reporting.

This hybrid role on-site in Webster or Boston requires collaboration with subject matter experts, data extraction/validation, and delivery of high-quality analytics to guide leadership decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in analytics, reporting, or related field.
  • 2-4 years' experience or equivalent in analytics, reporting or data roles.
  • Prior experience within Claims and Insurance environments strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying, data analysis and dataset development.
  • Basic to intermediate Python skills for analytics, automation or modeling tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Creates more complex visualizations and/or reports for a non-technical audience.
  • Assists in developing and distributing ad hoc reporting.
  • Supports meetings to translate business needs into clearly defined, well-documented, high-quality requirements for reporting and visualization projects.
  • Demonstrates a basic-to-intermediate understanding of data extraction, validation, and manipulation.
  • Supports colleagues with various tasks and projects to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts to provide meaningful data for executive decision-making.
  • Exercises discretion and applies critical thinking to analysis, planning, and implementation of critical initiatives.

Summary

Join our high impact Claims Analytics team where your work will shape data driven decisions across the enterprise.

Business Intelligence Analysts develop impactful visualizations and reports for non-technical audiences and supports ad hoc reporting needs. Collaborates with subject matter experts to translate business requirements into well-documented deliverables and provides meaningful data to guide decision-making. Demonstrates proficiency in data extraction, validation, and manipulation to ensure accuracy and quality.

This position requires working hybrid on site at either our Webster or Boston office locations. We are not considering remote candidates for this position.

  • 2-4 years' experience or equivalent, related knowledge in analytics, reporting or data roles.

  • Basic to intermediate Python skills required for analytics, automation or modeling tasks.

Pay Transparency

The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Salary Range: $77,700 - $110,900
