Job summary

MAPFRE in Webster, MA is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst I with a data visualization focus to develop impactful dashboards and reports for non-technical stakeholders. You will collaborate with subject matter experts to translate business needs into deliverables and support ad hoc reporting and analytics.

The role requires 2–4 years of BI experience, proficiency in Power BI/Tableau, and SQL/Python skills. It is a hybrid on-site position in Webster, MA, with on-site work 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in BI/analytics.
• Insurance experience preferred.
• Proficiency with BI tools and SQL/Python for data tasks.

*This position is eligible for a higher grade based on experience. This role is not eligible for sponsorship now or in the future.

**This is a hybrid role, requiring working on site in Webster, MA 3 days per week. Remote candidates will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Creates more complex visualizations and/or reports tailored for consumption by a non-technical audience.
• Assists in developing and distributing ad hoc reporting.
• Provides support in meetings to translate business needs into clearly defined, well-documented, high-quality requirements to support reporting and visualization projects.
• Demonstrates a basic-to-intermediate understanding of the fundamentals of data extraction, validation, and manipulation.
• Supports colleagues with a variety of tasks and projects to meet deadlines.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts to effectively provide meaningful and valuable data to assist in executive decision-making.
• Exercises discretion and applies critical thinking relative to analysis, planning, and/or implementation of critical business initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Data Analytics or related field. (MBA a plus)
• 2-4 years' experience or equivalent, related knowledge (*Higher level candidates Will be considered based upon relevant experience / skills.)
• Personal or CommercialLines Insurance experience.
• Proficiency in business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
• Working knowledge of SQL and Python for data querying, analysis, visualization and automation.
• Skilled in developing automated workflows and scripts to streamline data processing and reporting.
• Experience with cloud platforms and data warehousing technologies.
• Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Transparency: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Salary Range: $77,700 - $135,300
