Job description

Business Intelligence Analyst

Building financial foundations for families to empower them today and leave a legacy for tomorrow.

Experior Financial Group is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to build and maintain the reports and dashboards that help our teams understand and act on our data. You'll work directly with stakeholders across the organization to turn raw data into clear, reliable, and actionable insight, writing the queries that pull the data together and designing the Power BI dashboards that put it in front of decision-makers. This is a hands-on, technical role for someone who is as comfortable in a data model or a block of SQL as they are presenting a finished dashboard.

As a member of our team, you will enjoy a positive work environment and be part of a dynamic group that values dedication and enthusiasm. We offer excellent opportunities for career advancement to those who are committed and strive for excellence.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI for stakeholders across the business.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries against relational databases to extract, join, and aggregate data for reporting and analysis.
  • Build and maintain data models (including DAX measures and calculated columns) that power accurate, performant dashboards.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into clear, well-structured data visualizations.
  • Develop and maintain ETL/data pipelines to keep reporting data accurate, complete, and up to date.
  • Monitor data quality and troubleshoot discrepancies between source systems and reports.
  • Document data definitions, report logic, and dashboard usage so reporting stays consistent and maintainable over time.
  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring reports and streamline the reporting process.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI (or a comparable BI tool such as Tableau or Looker), including DAX and data modeling.
  • Strong SQL skills, comfortable writing complex queries (joins, subqueries, window functions) against relational databases.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices for structuring data for reporting (e.g., star schemas).
  • Experience working with data warehouses and/or ETL tools and processes.
  • Familiarity with IMO, Insurance Carrier, and/or financial services operations is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Familiarity with Power Query (M language) and Power BI Service administration (workspaces, gateways, row-level security) is an asset.
  • Exposure to Python or another scripting language for data processing or automation is an asset.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, or similar) is an asset.
  • Must reside and be authorized to work in the USA.
What Experior Financial Group Inc. can offer you:
  • Competitive compensation and a comprehensive total rewards package, including a 401(K) program, and group benefits coverage (health, vision, dental, and short-term disability), as well as access to mental health supports and an Employee Assistance Program.
  • Growing organization with long-term career opportunities.
  • Remote opportunities available.
  • Ongoing training and development to help you grow your skills.
  • Opportunity to work alongside experienced industry professionals and leaders.
  • Collaborative, supportive team environment where your contributions are recognized and valued.
  • Culture built on integrity, respect, and continuous improvement.
Salary Range - $100,000 - $130,000/yr
