Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and analytics solutions for leadership.
  • Build and maintain Power BI data models, relationships, measures, and DAX calculations.
  • Translate business requirements into reporting solutions, KPIs, and data models.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for large datasets.
  • Work with Snowflake to query, analyze, and validate enterprise data for reporting.
  • Collaborate with data engineering to ensure data is accessible for downstream Power BI reporting.
  • Perform data validation, mapping, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis across source systems.
  • Investigate reporting discrepancies and data quality issues to identify solutions.
  • Gather and refine requirements for new dashboards and analytics initiatives.

Location: Franklin, TN – Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Employment Type: Long-term, ongoing contract with potential for hire

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Range: $38-45/hr

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Analyst with strong hands-on expertise in Power BI, SQL, and Snowflake. This individual will partner with business stakeholders, data engineering teams, and technical resources to develop reporting and analytics solutions that support business operations and decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience building Power BI dashboards and reports from the ground up, including advanced DAX, data modeling, and visualization development. This role also requires advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience working with enterprise data in Snowflake.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions for business and leadership stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain Power BI data models, relationships, measures, calculated columns, and advanced DAX calculations.
  • Translate business requirements into effective reporting solutions, KPIs, visualizations, and data models.
  • Write and optimize advanced SQL queries to extract, analyze, validate, reconcile, and troubleshoot large datasets.
  • Work extensively within Snowflake to query, analyze, and validate enterprise data used for reporting and analytics.
  • Partner with data engineering and technical teams to ensure data is properly structured and available for downstream Power BI reporting.
  • Perform data validation, mapping, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis across multiple source systems.
  • Investigate reporting discrepancies, data quality issues, and performance trends to identify underlying causes and potential solutions.
  • Gather and refine requirements for new dashboards, reporting enhancements, and analytics initiatives.
  • Continuously improve existing Power BI solutions for performance, scalability, usability, and accuracy.
  • Support testing and validation of new datasets, reporting solutions, and system enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain reporting documentation, data definitions, and business logic.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities while working effectively with both business and technical teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Deep, hands-on Power BI experience, including developing complex dashboards and reports in a professional environment.
  • Advanced experience with DAX, Power BI data modeling, relationships, measures, and visualization development.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency with the ability to independently write complex queries for reporting, analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on Snowflake experience within a business intelligence, analytics, or enterprise data environment.
  • Experience using Power BI and Snowflake together to develop enterprise reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and enterprise data warehouse concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience investigating complex data and reporting issues.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate directly with business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in business intelligence, analytics, data, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting automotive, manufacturing, supply chain, operations, aftersales, or purchasing environments.
  • Experience working with large-scale enterprise datasets and multiple source systems.
  • SAP Business Objects experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, Business Technology, or a related field.
