Job summary

ITC Infotech is seeking an Integration Business Analyst to bridge business stakeholders and technical teams. You will elicit, analyze, and document functional requirements for system-to-system integrations, data flows, and API-led solutions.

The ideal candidate has solid knowledge of REST APIs, event-driven architecture, and iPaaS concepts, and can translate complex processes into detailed specifications, user stories, and data-mapping schemas. Immediate start in Las Vegas, NV.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst.
• 4+ years of dedicated experience working on integration projects (e.g., API implementations, system migrations, ERP/CRM integrations, data warehouse pipelines).
• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI-PBA.
• Agile certifications (e.g., CSPO or Professional Scrum Master).
• Fundamental certifications in Cloud (e.g., Azure Fundamentals) or Integration Platforms.
• Analytical Thinking: Exceptional capability to deconstruct complex, multi-system workflows into clear steps.
• Communication: Translate business requests into precise technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Gather Integration Needs: Collaborate with business units, external partners, and product managers to understand and document business needs requiring system connectivity.
• Process Mapping: Analyze and document as-is and to-be processes and system workflows, identifying integration touchpoints and data dependencies.
• Functional Specifications: Author detailed functional design documents, integration specifications, and source-to-target data mapping documents.
• Data Mapping: Define and document data mapping rules, transformation logic, validation rules, and error handling between source and target systems.
• API & Payload Specification: Define endpoint behaviors, triggers, JSON/XML payload structures, and data exchange frequency.
• Agile Backlog Management: Translate integration requirements into clear, actionable Agile user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Technical Liaison: Explain business objectives to developers and constraints to stakeholders.
• Testing & Validation Support: Assist QA in defining integration test scenarios and coordinate UAT.
• Change Management: Assess impact of upgrades, API version changes, and decommissioning.

Role Overview:

We are looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Integration Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and our technical integration teams (architects and developers). You will be responsible for eliciting, analyzing, and documenting functional requirements for system-to-system integrations, data flows, and API-led solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a solid conceptual understanding of modern integration technologies (such as REST APIs, Event-Driven Architecture, and iPaaS systems) and the ability to translate complex business processes into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and data-mapping schemas.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Elicitation & Analysis

• Gather Integration Needs: Collaborate with business units, external partners, and product managers to understand and document business needs requiring system connectivity.
• Process Mapping: Analyze and document "as-is" and "to-be" business processes and system workflows, identifying integration touchpoints and data dependencies.
• Functional Specifications: Author detailed functional design documents, integration specifications, and source-to-target data mapping documents.

System-to-System Mapping & API Translation

• Data Mapping: Define and document detailed data mapping rules, transformation logic, validation rules, and error-handling requirements between source and target systems.
• API & Payload Specification: Work closely with technical leads to define integration scopes, documenting required endpoint behaviors, triggers, JSON/XML payload structures, and frequency of data exchanges.
• Agile Backlog Management: Translate integration requirements into clear, actionable Agile user stories and acceptance criteria for developers and QA engineers.

Collaboration & Quality Assurance

• Technical Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact to explain business objectives to developers and technical constraints to business stakeholders.
• Testing & Validation Support: Assist QA teams in defining integration test scenarios. Coordinate and drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders to validate end-to-end integration flows.
• Change Management: Assess the business impact of proposed system upgrades, API version changes, and system decommissioning.

Technical Knowledge & Experience

Conceptual Integration Knowledge

• API Frameworks: Strong understanding of RESTful API design, microservices concepts, and the API lifecycle.
• Event-Driven Concepts: Conceptual familiarity with Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), messaging systems, and asynchronous communication patterns.
• Data Formats: Hands-on experience analyzing and reading common data exchange formats, particularly JSON and XML.
• Integration Platforms: Familiarity with enterprise integration concepts on platforms like MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Integration Services, or similar.
• Database & Querying: Basic to intermediate SQL skills to query databases for data profiling, mapping, and validation.
• Agile Management Tools: Proficiency using Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps to manage backlog items and document integration specifications.
