Job summary

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is seeking a Vice President, Practice Leader for the Business Insurance practice in the Dakotas. You will set the vision, lead the team, and partner with leadership, sales, operations, and carriers to drive profitable growth and exceptional client service.

You will shape strategies, manage the practice’s priorities, and oversee budgeting and performance metrics while fostering collaboration across MMA and Marsh McLennan affiliates.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in business insurance, within broker/agency or carrier environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, or equivalent.
• Strong leadership with ability to implement technology solutions.
• Proven ability to partner with insurance carriers.
• Experience interacting with senior executives and guiding strategic initiatives.
• Proven capability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Excellent relationship-building and collaboration skills.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the MMA Dakotas Business Insurance practice.
• Set vision, direction, and priorities to drive growth and client service.
• Partner with local/regional leadership, sales, operations and carriers to execute strategies.
• Lead sales and operations teams, establish annual goals and performance metrics.
• Monitor financial metrics: new business, retention, pipeline, and producer success.
• Support budgeting and strategic initiatives across the practice.
