Job summary

The role requires 5+ years of leadership in insurance, experience with business or commercial lines, and a track record of guiding teams. Hybrid work, strong communication, and stakeholder collaboration are valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership/management experience in insurance or risk management.
• 5+ years of experience with business or commercial insurance.
• Ability to research regulatory issues and provide clear guidance to clients.
• Knowledge of technical underwriting.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere with professional conduct and confidentiality.
• Strong management and team-building skills.
• Establishes priorities and meets deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Participate in recruiting, hiring and onboarding of new colleagues.
• Monitor workload and capacity (book size, coverage hours, time off).
• Ensure compliance with PTO, attendance, travel and expense reimbursement.
• Engage in regular communications with employees via one-on-one sessions and team meetings.
• Work with staff to ensure agency management systems and processes are followed.
• Support colleague development through performance and development plans.
• Manage annual budgets and KPIs to reflect growth goals.
• Promote knowledge sharing to address workflow and best practices.
• Participate in leadership development training and regional workgroups.
