Job summary

Delaware North is seeking a full-time Business Insight and Analytics Analyst for our Parks and Resorts team at the Buffalo, NY headquarters. You will deliver actionable insights to drive strategic growth and operational excellence.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of analytical experience, with strong Excel/SQL and BI tool skills. A base salary between $62,354 and $76,800 per year plus bonus and benefits is offered.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in analytical roles; hospitality or retail preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel, SQL, and BI tools; Databricks and Tableau a plus.

• Apply advanced analytical methods to evaluate business performance across sales, labor, marketing, and product margins.
• Conduct financial and operational impact assessments of promotions, new products, and process changes.
• Design and maintain dashboards and visualizations using Tableau and other BI tools.
• Leverage analytics to uncover opportunities that enhance guest experience and expand market reach.
• Analyze category and line-of-business performance to inform pricing, product, and distribution strategies.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Data and other analytics teams on data architecture and warehousing.

The opportunity

Delaware North is hiring a full-time Business Insight and Analytics Analyst to join our Parks and Resorts team at our global headquarters in Buffalo, New York. As a Business Insight and Analytics Analyst, you will be responsible for providing actionable insights to drive strategic growth and operational excellence.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $62,354 - $76,800 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?

• Apply advanced analytical methods and tools to evaluate business performance across sales, labor, marketing, and product margins, delivering insights that drive growth and operational efficiency.
• Conduct financial and operational impact assessments of promotions, new products, and process changes, providing data-driven recommendations to support strategic planning
• Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau and other BI tools to communicate KPIs, trends, and performance metrics to business stakeholders.
• Leverage business intelligence, market research, and industry trends to uncover opportunities that enhance the guest experience and expand market reach
• Analyze category and line-of-business performance to inform pricing, product, and distribution strategies that increase take rate and maximize profitability
• Collaborate with Enterprise Data and other analytics teams to support data architecture and warehousing initiatives, ensuring analytical needs are represented in cross-functional projects

More about you

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, math, statistics, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in analytical roles; experience in hospitality or retail preferred
• Demonstrated experience anticipating business needs and trends, with a track record of delivering insights that inform strategic decisions and operational improvements
• Experience developing innovative data visualizations and reports that persuade stakeholders and support data-driven decision-making across business functions
• Strong proficiency in analytics and predictive tools such as advanced Excel, R, or similar, and experience with database and BI toolsets; practical experience with Databricks and Tableau is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Strong knowledge of and experience with financial analysis and reporting
• Adept at SQL queries, report writing, and presenting finding
