Delaware North is seeking a Senior Director of Cybersecurity Strategy, Architecture & Engineering to lead the development of the company’s cybersecurity framework and engineering strategy from our Buffalo, NY headquarters.

You will drive security initiatives, guide a team of engineers, and ensure security architectures align with enterprise goals and systems, including SSO integrations and real-time threat mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in information management, computer science, business administration, risk management, or related field.
• 3+ years of management experience within information security (8+ years total).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, incident response, and threat intelligence practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills for leading a high-performing team.
• Experience designing and implementing security architecture frameworks and standards.
• Integration of cybersecurity technologies (SSO, encryption, identity management).
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and SDLC concepts.
• Experience with cloud security architectures and secure network design.

The opportunity

Delaware North is hiring a full-time Senior Director of Cybersecurity Strategy, Architecture & Engineering to join our team at our global headquarters in Buffalo, New York. The Director of Cyber Security Strategy, Architecture, & Engineering is at the forefront of developing and implementing the overarching cybersecurity framework that aligns with the enterprise's strategic vision. This role is critical in crafting robust security architectures and engineering solutions that integrate seamlessly with corporate systems, including Single Sign-On (SSO) capabilities. The director drives security initiatives from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring the advancement of the company’s cyber defenses in a dynamic threat landscape.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $157,400 - $212,500 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?

• Develop and implement a cybersecurity strategy that aligns with the company's overall business goals and risk management framework


• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of cybersecurity engineers, promoting a culture of professional growth, operational excellence, and innovation


• Architect security infrastructure and consult with solutions owners to ensure that security designs are aligned with business needs


• Create long-term security strategies that align with organizational goals, risks, and technological trends


• Lead the engineering aspect, focusing on integrating cybersecurity solutions across the organization, including SSO and other system integrations


• Manage key cybersecurity projects, ensuring they deliver value and enhance the security posture


• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate cybersecurity considerations into the company’s strategic planning and daily operations

More about you

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in information management, computer science, business administration, risk management, or related field; relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA preferred


• Minimum of 8 years of total information security experience with 3 years of management experience


• Comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, incident response, and threat intelligence practices


• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of leading a high-performing team


• Extensive experience in the design and implementation of security architecture frameworks and standards


• Skilled in the integration of cybersecurity technologies, including SSO, encryption, and identity management solutions


• Knowledgeable about secure coding practices, application security, and the software development lifecycle, SDLC


• Proficient in current and emerging cybersecurity technologies, cloud security architectures, and secure network design
