Job description

The Business Information Specialist will be responsible for managing a wide range of data analysis, modeling, and reporting tasks within the American Funds Service Group. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic and operational goals. Your role involves utilizing research, statistical analysis, and forecasting techniques to generate insights and inform decision-making.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of analytics experience with a high degree of autonomy.

• Ability to lead technically and facilitate discussions with senior leaders to define requirements and develop solutions for complex business challenges.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and complexity, employing scenario planning and analysis for strategic decisions.

• Reliability in serving as primary or backup for critical deliverables.

• Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex data and recommendations clearly and concisely.

• Solid background in business intelligence, reporting, and data transformation using tools such as Excel, SQL, R, Tableau, or Python.

• Ability to influence and engage with stakeholders across multiple geographies and functions.

Location and Compensation:

San Antonio Base Salary Range: $89,374-$142,998

Orange County Base Salary Range: $108,756-$174,010

Indianapolis Base Salary Range: $95,192-$152,307

In addition to base salary, eligible for annual performance bonus, profit sharing, and a retirement plan with 15% employer contribution.
