VAZQUEZ & POUDAT PLLC in Orlando, FL is seeking a skilled Business Immigration Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This role offers the opportunity to help businesses and individuals navigate U.S. immigration law and to work on a variety of petitions.

You will handle H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, and EB cases, advise clients on strategy and compliance, and coordinate with the Department of Labor on PERM filings. A Florida Bar license and JD are required.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Florida Bar license or eligibility.
• 1+ year of business immigration experience preferred.
• Proficiency in employment-based visa processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file business immigration petitions (H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, EB).
• Advise clients on visa strategies and compliance.
• Manage PERM labor certification processes with DOL.
• Represent clients before USCIS, DOL, and other agencies.
• Draft briefs, RFEs, appeals, and motions.
• Manage a caseload from intake to resolution.
• Stay current on immigration law changes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file business immigration petitions including H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, and EB-series cases
• Advise corporate clients on employment-based visa strategies, compliance, and workforce immigration planning
• Manage PERM labor certification applications and coordinate with the Department of Labor
• Represent clients before USCIS, DOL, and other federal agencies
• Draft legal briefs, RFE responses, appeals, and motions related to immigration matters
• Maintain and manage a caseload of business immigration matters from intake through resolution
• Stay current on changes in immigration law, policy, and regulatory updates

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Active bar license in Florida or eligibility for Florida bar admission
• 1+ years of experience in business immigration law preferred
• Proficiency with employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visa categories
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required
