Job summary

VAZQUEZ & POUDAT PLLC is seeking a skilled Business Immigration Attorney to join our dynamic legal team in Orlando, FL. This role involves preparing and filing petitions, advising clients on visa strategies, and managing cases from intake through resolution.

We welcome candidates with a JD and active Florida bar status, plus at least 1 year of business immigration experience. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus in our diverse practice environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar license in Florida or eligibility for Florida bar admission.
• 1+ years of experience in business immigration law preferred.
• Proficiency with employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visa categories.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file business immigration petitions including H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, and EB-series cases
• Advise corporate clients on employment-based visa strategies, compliance, and workforce immigration planning
• Manage PERM labor certification applications and coordinate with the Department of Labor
• Represent clients before USCIS, DOL, and other federal agencies
• Draft legal briefs, RFE responses, appeals, and motions related to immigration matters
• Maintain and manage a caseload of business immigration matters from intake through resolution
• Stay current on changes in immigration law, policy, and regulatory updates
