Job description

The Business Analyst performs financial and operational analysis and serves as a business partner to departments throughout the organization. The analyst ensures that business data and reporting needs are met and maintains a strong understanding of the organization’s data, systems, and reporting capabilities. The role applies financial and operational knowledge to evaluate business performance, support budgeting and forecasting, inform decision-making, and identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, data quality, and procedures.

This position is structured into three levels, with increasing scope, complexity of assignments, autonomy, and leadership responsibility. Progression across levels reflects the employee’s ability to independently manage increasingly complex financial and operational analyses, effectively partner with stakeholders, provide actionable insights, and contribute to broader organizational planning and strategy.

This position is not eligible for sponsorship. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.

  • Prepare business cases, scenario analyses, and financial simulations to support decision‑making.

  • Select and apply appropriate analytical methodologies and tools.

  • Communicate analytical findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

Business Partnership & Process Improvement:

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational procedures, reporting needs, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Analyze business requirements, process gaps, reporting needs, and data‑quality concerns to support practical improvement recommendations.

  • Recommend process, reporting, and data‑quality improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, consistency, and business performance.

  • Promote consistent understanding and use of reporting processes, data expectations, and company procedures to help prevent discrepancies and improve data quality.

  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Controlling teams from other Liebherr companies to develop reports, share process knowledge, and align best practices where appropriate.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Engage organizational leaders during budget and forecast preparation to understand business outlooks, key drivers, operational assumptions, and anticipated changes.
