Job summary

Health Care Logistics offers an eight-week internship program (May 31–July 23) reporting to senior finance leaders, with exposure to HR, quality, customer service, purchasing, inventory control, manufacturing, distribution, product development, maintenance, sales, accounting, marketing, and more.

Enrolled students pursuing a business-related degree will gain hands-on experience across multiple functional areas while maintaining high accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Enrolled/Attending college and working towards a degree in a business-related field.
• Must provide college transcripts.
• Good attendance and punctuality as defined in the HCL Handbook.
• Ability to express ideas clearly in written and oral communications.
• Goal oriented.
• Working knowledge of accepted office procedures.
• Efficient use of company resources including e-mail, voice mail, etc.
• Trustworthy with confidential and sensitive information.
• Must work well with others in a team environment.
• Must abide by company policies as outlined in the employee manual.
• Maintain high level of accuracy, completeness.

Responsibilities

• Support internal processes across departments during the internship.
• Assist with HR onboarding and interview coordination.
• Help with accounting tasks such as AP/AR and basic GL entries.
• Assist in distribution, purchasing, and inventory control activities.
• Contribute to marketing, customer service, and product development projects.

Brief Description

Reports to: CFO/Vice President of Finance

Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt

The Intern program is an eight (8) week program and will run May 31st - July 23rd.

Program Will Include The Following

• Human Resources – Interview process, onboarding, conflict resolution
• Quality – Processes and government requirements and regulations
• Customer service – Overview of what HCL sells and Customer request
• Purchasing – Replenishing inventory and purchasing goods and services
• Resources – Fulfilling Customer request for special items
• Manufacturing – Plastics, Metals, Cabinets and Labels
• Distribution – Pick Pack, Receiving, Shipping
• Inventory Control – Flow and Maintaining inventory
• Product Development – New ideas and how they are developed to sellable products
• Maintenance – General maintenance for facility upkeep
• Sales – Customer calls, site visit and Quarterly Sales Meeting
• Accounting – General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sales Tax
• Marketing – Digital Design, Catalogue prepping and updates
• TS - Overview and Stat Temp process
