Job summary

Easterseals-Goodwill is hiring for a SNAP Employment and Training role focused on helping individuals in Wyoming develop employment skills and economic self-sufficiency. The position involves coaching participants, developing resumes and interview skills, and partnering with local employers and ESGW staff to create pathways to sustainable employment.

You will document progress, support career advancement, and work within a mission-driven team committed to serving diverse communities.

• Proven interviewing, counseling, and customer service skills.
• Ability to move from one task to another quickly and with ease.

Responsibilities

• Administer SNAP E&T in Wyoming and build relationships with businesses in the community.
• Coach participants through challenges before and after employment.
• Assist participants with resume and cover letter development and interview preparation.
• Document work with participants and coach on career advancement opportunities.
• Support a diverse participant base and provide positive reinforcement to help achieve employment goals.

The SNAP Employment and Training program works with individuals to develop employment skills, empowering them to improve their economic self-sufficiency. We hire people who are customer focused, caring, bright, committed to the greater good with an extremely strong desire to help those in need. This position is responsible for administering SNAP E&T in Wyoming and building relationships with businesses within our communities. You will be responsible for working with participants to develop their confidence and work toward their employment goals so that they can improve their income and self-reliance. You will work to help develop a dynamic team of businesses, non-profits and ESGW staff across the state to ensure participants have the skills and tools necessary to obtain employment. You will be responsible for coaching participants through challenges they face before and after they obtain employment. You will assist participants with outlining their skills via resume and cover letter development as well as interview preparation and job skills training. You will be responsible for working with and documenting your work with participants to ensure they are successful in their new jobs as well as to coach them on career advancement opportunities. We are customer-focused with the goal of sustainable income for participants. This position requires superior customer service skills, the ability to effectively handle competing priorities, provide positive reinforcement to a wide variety of participants with varying skill level, as well as creativity and belief in the mission of ESGW. You will have the personal opportunity to have a profound and positive impact across Wyoming.

Experience

• High School/Equivalent
• Degree in social services or related field preferred but not required.
• 0-2 years
• Proven experience with job development and/or employment placement.
