Your Role as a Business Development Territory Manager (Treatment Placement Specialist):

Treatment Placement Specialists build trust within their healthcare communities as reliable resources for behavioral health treatment placement across a vast network of facilities. You will bring hope and guidance to those struggling with issues such as addiction, trauma, mood/anxiety disorders, disordered eating, and complex pain by collaborating with mental health and addiction professionals and liaising with family members to find appropriate levels of care within local, regional, and national systems.

The ideal candidate will research, uncover, and initiate new professional prospects and business opportunities, with a passion for marketing aimed at increasing patient admissions and expanding market share. You will be responsible for developing and executing quarterly and annual sales objectives for the Brooklyn, NY, territory and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Identify decision makers and establish relationships within target markets.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings to understand needs and eliminate obstacles.
  • Develop and execute performance objectives for the target market.
  • Plan activity routes and participate in conferences and facility events.
  • Organize networking events and in-service meetings.
  • Create and deliver tailored presentations to create awareness of services.
  • Negotiate and secure contracts.
  • Respond promptly to service and referral inquiries.
  • Manage referrals from receipt to admission, acting as a liaison.
  • Document activities and manage referral information in the contact database.
  • Participate in team calls and site visits, including quarterly field rides.
  • Manage expenses and company credit card tasks as assigned.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience in consultative sales within behavioral healthcare, substance abuse, or related fields.
  • Self-motivated with strong organization skills and a passion for helping others.
  • Proven success in prospecting, soliciting, and closing sales, including cold calling and CRM management.
  • 75% local travel, with quarterly out-of-state overnight travel.
  • Proficiency in office administration and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
