Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting and cold calling.
  • Develop relationships with property management companies, HOA management firms, apartment communities, and industry professionals throughout the United States.
  • Schedule introductory meetings and presentations.
  • Follow up consistently with prospective clients.
  • Maintain an organized sales pipeline and document activity in the CRM.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify new markets and growth opportunities.
  • Assist in preparing proposals and service agreements.
  • Build long-term relationships with existing clients through proactive communication.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for high-level client concerns and escalations.
  • Resolve issues professionally while ensuring outstanding customer experience.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure client expectations are exceeded.
  • Conduct periodic client check-ins to strengthen relationships and identify additional service opportunities.
  • Attend HOA board meetings when requested.
  • Represent PBS at networking events, trade shows, conferences, and association meetings.
  • Deliver presentations explaining PBS services and value.
  • Build relationships with board members, community managers, and decision-makers.
  • Assist with social media planning and content creation.
  • Help coordinate email marketing campaigns and newsletters.
  • Assist with promotional materials, brochures, presentations, and marketing initiatives.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop content that supports business development.
  • Monitor industry trends and recommend marketing opportunities.
  • Assist with high-level client questions, concerns, and escalations as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Client Relations and leadership to resolve client issues and maintain strong relationships.
  • Build relationships with property managers and decision-makers that support both client retention and future business development.
  • Assist with posting resident payments and checks and other basic payment-processing responsibilities as assigned.
  • Draft professional emails, client communications, and other correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate prospect, client, and sales records.
  • Coordinate follow-up after meetings, presentations, and events.
  • Assist leadership with special projects and company initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned based on the evolving needs of the business.

Job Summary

Phoenix Billing Solutions (PBS) is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Business Development Specialist whose primary responsibility will be generating new business and supporting the continued growth of PBS. This position will focus heavily on outbound sales, prospecting, cold calling, relationship development, presentations, industry events, and expanding PBS into new markets.

In addition to business development, this position will support existing client relationships, marketing initiatives, and high-level customer service needs. As a small and growing company, PBS operates with a collaborative, all-hands-on-deck approach. The Business Development Specialist will be expected to assist with administrative, customer service, payment processing, marketing, and other operational responsibilities as business needs arise.

The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable taking ownership of sales goals while also being flexible and willing to step outside of their primary responsibilities when needed to support the overall success of the company.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
  • Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting and cold calling.
  • Develop relationships with property management companies, HOA management firms, apartment communities, and industry professionals throughout the United States.
