The position / Candidate Profile
Mature, experienced sales manager with proven achievements / experience within the North American markets for Open die Forged and ring rolled products ranging up to 30 ton.
As Sales & Business Development Manager, you will be leading sales activities with the existing and new customers for one of the client group companies.
You will visit the customers frequently initiating and leading all business activities working together with the technical and commercial colleagues mainly based in India.
The function reports to the Senior Vice President International Sales
(based at India), dotted line.
You will be accountable for the overall sales performance in North America for industrial business sector with the focus on energy segment.
Responsibilities / Activities
·Prepare Annual Business Plan (AOP) basis company strategy and aspirations. Manage the monthly/annual sales objectives and drive growth initiatives.
·Manage Key Accounts through customer meetings, generating enquiries, submitting quotations, regular communication with customers on schedule, sales tracking, forecasting, pricing and lead generation.
·Monitor industry trends, customer growth plan and competition activities.
·Develop new business and grow existing business in the Oil & Gas and other industry verticals.
·Manage customer relationships, create new business opportunities from current and new customers.
·Interact with back-office engineers, engineering, and planning team in India for new product developments and any other operational matters.
·Keeping track of business acquisition targets in the market
·Participate in trade shows and trade organizations.
Professional Experience and Skills
-prior experience of 10-15 years in sales working for Open die Forged products ranging from 200 Kg and above.
-Understanding of O&G / power generation / mining / heavy equipment manufacturing customers
-Prior experience in forging / casting / steel/ bearings/ Pumps & motors/ machined product sales will be an added advantage.
-Strong in Commercial background
-Excellent network into the market and understanding of the market relationships is required. Have contact to relevant people across the customer base, understand the decision-making process within automotive environment
-Able to closely work with technical people (engineers)
-International profile and are willing to travel
-Good communication and presentation skills
-Team player and open communicator in international matrix organization
-Dynamic with positive charisma
-Successfully worked remotely (i.e. with limited visits to HQ)
-Familiarity with common computer operations and software including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
Location:
Based from home office in Texas or Oklahoma (preference will be Houston region).
Travels: more than 50% possible
