This role is remote-friendly only within Boston or Greater Boston and San Diego.

You will be successful in this role with:

What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Prospect new leads (outbound) and create first impressions with potential customers and partners while building a pipeline for account executives and senior management.
  2. Follow up and qualify inbound requests via telephone and email, assessing scientific and business fit.
  3. Organize, categorize, and prioritize sales leads in CRM; measure lead conversion and performance against quota.
  4. Become an expert in BioRender’s software features, benefits, and applications.
  5. Leverage prospecting tools to research companies and identify key stakeholders at new accounts.
  6. Develop customized pitches for different target accounts and personas.
  7. Collaborate with Account Executives to drive outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling, emailing, and communicating our value proposition to decision-makers.
  8. Work with the field marketing and sales teams to drive attendance at BioRender events such as dinners and happy hours.

What You Bring To The Table:

  • 1+ year of experience as a BDR in a SaaS environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable with cold calling and outreach.
  • Strong self-motivation and willingness to go beyond strict responsibilities.
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Willing to work during EST business hours.
  • A bachelor’s degree in science or related fields (life sciences, biology, biotech, biomedical engineering, biochemistry, etc.) is a plus.

Interview Process:

  1. Introductory call: 20-30 minute chat with a recruiter.
  2. Hiring Manager interview: Meet with Business Development Managers, learn about BioRender, and ask questions.
  3. Practical exercise: Complete a role-specific task with the BD Manager.
  4. Meet the team: Interact with potential colleagues.
