Job description

We're growing the sales team at Moore Group, and we're looking for a Business Development Representative who can help us open the right doors.

Moore Group is an eight-figure, retailer-first Amazon partner that works with consumer brands to build and grow their business on the marketplace. We buy inventory, sell it ourselves, and handle the strategy, advertising, listings, forecasting, logistics, and channel execution behind it. Think less agency, more outsourced Amazon department/Investor with real skin in the game.

We want someone hungry.

Someone who likes figuring things out, isn't afraid to pick up the phone, and gets a little obsessed with finding the right way into an account.

Someone who sees a brand they want to work with and starts thinking:

  • Who actually makes the decision here?
  • Who could become a champion for us?
  • What does this company care about?
  • What's happening with their business on Amazon?
  • What's the angle that could actually get their attention?
  • If the first approach doesn't work, what do I try next?

This is a role for someone with a bias toward action.

You won't be expected to wait around for someone to tell you every move to make. We'll give you the tools, training, support, and coaching, but we want someone who can take ownership of a goal and go figure out how to get there.

What You'll Do
  • Prospect into accounts through phone, email, LinkedIn, referrals, and whatever other smart approach gets you to the right people
  • Cold call. A lot. You need to be comfortable picking up the phone and creating conversations
  • Identify decision-makers, influencers, and potential internal champions
  • Think strategically about how to break into accounts rather than relying on one contact or one channel
  • Learn enough about each brand, its category, and its Amazon presence to have an intelligent reason for reaching out
  • Book qualified meetings and help create momentum toward real opportunities
  • Follow up with urgency and persistence without becoming robotic or annoying
  • Keep HubSpot accurate and useful so the team knows exactly where opportunities stand
  • Work closely with leadership and the broader sales team to constantly improve how we prospect and open new business
  • Bring ideas. Test things. Learn from what works and what doesn't
  • Travel up to six times per year for trade shows, industry events, and other opportunities to learn, build relationships, and develop new business
Who We're Looking For

Some previous business development or sales experience is preferred. Bonus if you've worked for or sold into consumer brands, ecommerce, CPG, wholesale, Amazon, or a similar brand-side commercial environment. If you're hungry and a natural go-getter, we encourage you to apply.

That said, experience alone isn't what will make someone successful here. We care just as much about how you think, how you work, and the kind of energy you bring to the role.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Naturally proactive
  • Hungry to build a career and earn
  • Competitive
  • Curious
  • Resourceful
  • Comfortable hearing "no"
  • Willing to ask for a meeting
  • Comfortable picking up the phone
  • Creative about getting into difficult accounts
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Coachable and receptive to direct feedback
  • Organized enough to manage a lot of moving pieces
  • Someone who follows through
  • Someone who would rather take thoughtful action than wait for permission

We especially like people with a clear why behind what they're doing.

What Success Looks Like Here

We're not interested in activity for activity's sake. Twenty emails sent isn't a win if nothing moved. Success means creating conversations, finding the right people, opening doors, building relationships, booking qualified meetings, learning why accounts move or don't move, and constantly getting better at doing it.

You’ll have support and coaching, but you’ll also have room to operate.

We're building a sales culture around ownership, urgency, curiosity, accountability, and winning. We want someone who is excited to help build that with us.

If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.

Remote Position

Preference for candidates based in Wisconsin, Illinois, or New Mexico .

$50K Base | $65K-75K OTE | Uncapped Commission
  • 401K matching after 1 year of employment
  • ICHRA (Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement) after 60 days of employment
  • Paid Time Off
  • PTO comes to approximately 80 hours yearly when working full time, 40 hours of which roll over into the following year
  • Paid holidays, additional FLEX days, parental & bereavement leave
