This is a position for an aspiring sales professional who is excited to jump-start their career with a role in business development. Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Scheduling qualified appointments for Sales team
  • Researching/identifying potential customer contacts, generating leads, and uncovering high-value revenue generation opportunities
  • Qualifying inbound leads generated by Star’s marketing campaigns and handing qualified potential customer contacts off to the sales leadership team
  • Conducting outreach to potential customer contacts through outbound e-mails, LinkedIn messages, phone calls, and voicemails
  • Communicating Star’s differentiated value proposition to potential customers in an impactful way and demonstrating why a meeting with Star would be beneficial to them/their organization
  • Successfully diagnosing potential customers’ key business needs to ensure high quality sales meetings once potential customer contacts are handed off to the sales team
  • Working the marketing team to create and update Star’s outbound BDR messaging

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Our ideal candidate is passionate about identifying, qualifying new prospects and closing for appointments
  • Goal and action orientation, with a sense of urgency, drive, and commitment to reaching high levels of performance as measured by meetings generated, opportunities generated, and wins derived from those meetings/opportunities
  • The poise, confidence, and maturity necessary to interact with senior potential customer contacts
  • Tenacity and resilience with a will to keep going despite the inevitable rejections that are part of any business development role
  • Attention to detail and consistent follow through and follow up
  • Understands and is disciplined in working the the CRM

Minimum Education/Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Minimum Experience

  • Strong verbal/written communication skills and experience with MS Office
  • 2 years Sales experience (preferably in an outbound calling environment) required
