HRtoGO is expanding its sales team in Sacramento and is hiring three Business Development Representatives. You will own the first mile of the sales engine—finding California employers, starting conversations, qualifying opportunities, and booking discovery meetings for advisors to run.
You will use a curated target list and enablement assets to build a self-sourced pipeline. Role emphasizes in-office work with a 90-day training period; afterward, you may work remotely 1–2 days per week.
Are you a driven prospector who loves opening doors and starting conversations? Do you get energy from a room full of business owners at a networking event, and from the hunt of finding the next great client? If so, we may have the perfect launchpad for your sales career. We are growing our sales team and hiring three Business Development Representatives.
We are an established, growing HR outsourcing and managed services firm based in Sacramento. We help small and mid-sized California employers run payroll, administer benefits, and stay on the right side of the state's notoriously complex labor laws. California compliance is where we win, and it is the wedge that opens almost every conversation. Our clients typically have 3 to 300 employees and rely on us as their outsourced HR department.
This is a true top-of-funnel business development role. You will own the first mile of our sales engine: finding the right California employers, starting the conversation, qualifying the opportunity, and booking discovery meetings for our advisors to run. You will not be asked to close deals. Your job is to create the at-bats that let our team do the rest.
You will not be prospecting blind, either. We arm you with a curated, data-driven target list of California companies showing real signals of HR and compliance distress, so your outreach references something specific and timely rather than a cold guess. Our proprietary set of enablement assets gives you the tools you need to thrive in the role. Twelve months in, you will have built a reliable, self-sourced pipeline of qualified meetings, developed a referral network across the region, and set the pace for how we grow.
You will also work directly with our CEO, who leads sales strategy and will coach you week to week. At a firm our size that access is real: your ideas get heard, your wins get noticed, and you help shape how we grow.
We offer a competitive package benchmarked to the Sacramento market for outbound business development roles. The base salary range is $55,000 to $65,000 per year, plus commission (with on-target earnings of approximately $75,000 to $90,000 per year at full quota). Actual compensation will depend on experience. The plan runs roughly 70 percent base and 30 percent variable, with commission tied to established performance measures such as qualified meetings booked and pipeline generated.
This is a non-exempt, full-time position.
The regular schedule is Monday through Friday. This role is primarily in-office. After a 90-day in-person training period, and with performance on track, you will have the option to work remotely one to two days per week.
Because relationship building is an important part of this role, regular attendance at in-person meetings, networking events, and community functions in the Sacramento region and surrounding area is required. Some events may take place outside of regular business hours.
We offer a competitive benefits package designed to support employees.
Benefits include:
