The Technology Advisory group at CBIZ seeks an energetic, self-motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) for a 100% remote role, with options for in-office or hybrid work. The BDR will engage prospective clients via phone, email, and social media to qualify leads and support the sales team. This role is vital for generating new opportunities and building foundational sales skills.

Essential Functions & Primary Duties
  1. Engage qualified leads within a defined territory through outbound communication to initiate conversations and schedule meetings.
  2. Utilize all available tools and resources to meet and exceed KPIs and quotas.
  3. Collaborate with Account Executives on sales strategies and account planning.
  4. Leverage knowledge of CBIZ services to identify entry points into prospective accounts.
  5. Research target accounts to support account plans and prospect database development.
  6. Document all customer-facing activities in Salesforce.com to support market data and pipeline growth.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Related college degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably sales.
  • Strong desire for a long-term sales career.
  • Willingness to learn and embrace new concepts, and to use phone, email, and social media to generate opportunities.
  • Team player with accountability and initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency with relevant technology.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

The annual salary range is $65,000-$75,000, based on experience and skills. Benefits include medical, dental, retirement, insurance, education assistance, and more.
