Compensation: Base salary + commissions

Pellitteri Waste Systems is a Wisconsin based, family‑owned leader in recycling and waste management, committed to innovation, environmental stewardship, and exceptional customer service. We are seeking a Business Development Rep to further grow our industrial and manufacturing portfolio by developing high‑value recycling and materials sourcing partnerships.

This is a strategic, consultative sales role ideal for a seasoned outside B2B professional who understands manufacturing environments, commodity markets, and the operational realities of recycling programs.

About the Role

The BDR is responsible for generating profitable, sustainable growth by identifying, developing, and securing new industrial and manufacturing accounts. You will manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting and site assessments to proposal development, contract negotiation, onboarding, and long‑term account retention.

This role requires a complex understanding of manufacturing operations, material flows, and commodity markets, along with the ability to design recycling solutions that support both customer needs and facility throughput goals.

What You Will Do
  • Prospect and develop new business and expand existing customer relationships to drive tonnage and profitable revenue growth
  • Conduct on‑site material assessments and design recycling and sourcing solutions
  • Prepare proposals, RFPs, contracts, and service recommendations
  • Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, provide forecasts, track, and plan sales activity
  • Collaborate with Leadership, Operations, Customer Service and Accounting teams to ensure program success
  • Identify equipment needs and recommend sales or lease options to improve customer efficiency
  • Support departmental planning, process improvements, and special projects
  • Stay on top of industry trends and changes
What You Bring
  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5–7 years of demonstrated success in mid‑to‑high‑level B2B outside sales experience, ideally within industrial, manufacturing, logistics, or service‑based environments; experience within the waste & recycling industry is a plus.
  • Ability to manage complex sales solutions based on analysis of client needs with C‑suite decision makers while simultaneously engaging frontline and operational employees for a multi‑level sales engagement approach that demonstrates ROI at every level of the organization.
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, logistics, or service‑based environments strongly preferred
  • Exceptional consultative selling, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Business acumen and strong problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to interpret material and commodity data
  • Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal as well as superior relationship‑building skills
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft suite and CRM tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines with a track record of taking initiative and driving results.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and comfort working in both office and industrial settings
Work Environment

This role includes a blend of office work and frequent customer site visits. You will be exposed to manufacturing environments and must follow all safety protocols and site‑specific requirements. Regional travel is required—primarily Wisconsin and Northern IL.
