Job description

We are a fast-growing telehealth company focused on improving how healthcare organizations operate and connect with the solutions they need. We partner with healthcare organizations to help address operational challenges, improve efficiency, and deliver greater value across the healthcare ecosystem.

As we continue to expand, we are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Representative to help drive the next stage of our growth.

The Opportunity

The Business Development Representative (BDR) will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and expanding the company's presence across healthcare organizations.

This is a true outbound-focused business development role. The successful candidate will spend a significant portion of their time conducting high-volume, targeted outreach to prospective customers through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other prospecting channels.

The goal is simple: identify the right prospects, engage them in meaningful conversations, qualify opportunities, and consistently create qualified meetings for the sales team.

This role is ideal for an ambitious, early-career sales professional who enjoys the challenge of outbound prospecting and wants to build a foundation for a long-term career in sales. There is a clear opportunity for the right individual to grow into a more senior sales role as they demonstrate success.

Key Responsibilities

Outbound Business Development

  • Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels.
  • Identify and research target accounts and relevant decision‑makers within healthcare organizations.
  • Engage senior leaders, operational stakeholders, clinical professionals, and other key decision‑makers.
  • Develop and execute personalized outbound sequences designed to generate meaningful sales conversations.
  • Qualify prospects based on business needs, organizational fit, timing, and potential opportunity.
  • Consistently achieve monthly goals for qualified meetings booked and contribute to overall pipeline generation.
  • Follow up persistently and professionally with prospects across multiple touchpoints.
  • Maintain accurate and timely prospect, activity, and pipeline information within the CRM.
  • Identify prospective customers and target accounts attending relevant industry conferences and events.
  • Conduct pre-event outreach to invite prospects to connect with the company.
  • Support post-event follow-up and convert event conversations into qualified sales opportunities.
  • Become highly knowledgeable about the company's solutions, value proposition, and the problems they solve for customers.
  • Develop the ability to clearly and confidently articulate the company's benefits to prospective customers.
  • Work closely with leadership to understand target accounts, messaging, objections, and qualification criteria.
  • Learn and apply effective outbound sales techniques, prospecting etiquette, messaging, and discovery skills.
  • Use performance data to continuously improve outreach activity, conversion rates, and meeting generation.
What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is highly driven, coachable, persistent, and energized by outbound sales. We are less concerned with whether someone has spent their career in healthcare and more interested in whether they have the mindset and skills to succeed in a high‑activity business development environment.

Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, lead generation, recruiting, or another high‑outreach environment; exceptional entry‑level candidates will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to conduct significant cold outreach.
  • Comfortable making a high volume of phone calls and engaging prospects through email and LinkedIn.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to communicate clearly and confidently with senior leaders and executives.
  • Highly coachable and receptive to feedback, particularly around prospecting technique, messaging, and outreach.
  • Organized, disciplined, and comfortable working toward measurable activity and meeting‑based goals.
  • Competitive and motivated by performance‑based compensation.
  • Comfortable learning a sales process and consistently executing against it.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms is expected.
  • Experience with Apollo or similar prospecting and outbound sequencing tools is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare, healthcare technology, or a related industry is a plus, but not required.
What Success Looks Like

Success in this role will be measured primarily by the candidate’s ability to consistently create qualified sales conversations and contribute to a healthy pipeline.

Key performance expectations include:

  • Consistent achievement of monthly qualified‑meeting goals.
  • High and consistent outbound activity across phone, email, and LinkedIn.
  • Strong conversion of prospecting activity into meaningful sales conversations.
  • Effective qualification and handoff of opportunities to the sales team.
  • Consistent CRM and prospecting discipline.
  • Improvement in outreach effectiveness and conversion over time.
  • Ability to independently manage a defined prospecting strategy and account list.

The right person will understand that outbound activity creates opportunity, but quality and consistency ultimately drive results.

Variable Compensation: Structured commission plan tied to performance and qualified meeting generation.

The compensation structure is designed to provide meaningful upside for a high‑performing BDR. The right candidate should be motivated by the opportunity to directly influence their earnings through consistent performance.

This position also offers a potential career path into a more senior sales role for individuals who demonstrate strong performance, product knowledge, sales aptitude, and the ability to consistently generate and advance qualified opportunities.

Location

Denver, Colorado preferred. Remote candidates may be considered depending on experience and fit.
