  • Non-emulsifiers
  • Demulsifiers
  • Other specialty oilfield chemicals

With 24/7/365 operational support, American Molecules focuses on providing customized chemical solutions, dependable supply, rapid turnaround, and responsive technical and commercial support to our customers.

American Molecules also serves as a distributor, supplier, and manufacturers’ representative for pharmaceuticals, functional ingredients, excipients, and specialty chemicals, supported by manufacturing principals with USFDA-registered facilities and multiple international quality certifications.

Our combination of specialized technologies, broad product capabilities, local inventory, and global manufacturing partnerships positions American Molecules as a trusted partner to customers across the energy and specialty chemical industries.

About the Role

American Molecules LLC is seeking a highly motivated, commercially driven Business Development professional to expand our oilfield chemicals business throughout the Permian Basin.

This is a field-focused, revenue-generating role for someone who thrives on developing new accounts, building relationships with decision-makers, identifying commercial opportunities, and converting technical discussions and field trials into long-term business.

We are particularly interested in candidates who understand the Permian Basin market and have established relationships within the oilfield services, E&P, completion, production, or chemical sectors.

What You’ll Do
  • Drive aggressive revenue growth by acquiring new customers across E&P operators, oilfield service companies, and chemical distributors.
  • Build and manage a high-value sales pipeline with clear targets for conversions, bookings, revenue, and margin contribution.
  • Conduct regular field visits, customer meetings, yard visits, and technical discussions with key decision-makers.
  • Develop relationships with purchasing, operations, engineering, completions, production, and chemical-management personnel.
  • Identify customer challenges related to chemical performance, cost, operational efficiency, and supply reliability and position appropriate solutions.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting → technical discussions → product trials → pricing → negotiation → onboarding → commercial orders.
  • Lead commercial negotiations while maintaining strong pricing discipline, volume commitments, and margins.
  • Develop business across products including breakers, scale inhibitors, corrosion inhibitors, friction reducers, demulsifiers, surfactants, and other specialty oilfield chemicals.
  • Prepare and manage quotations, Proforma Invoices, contracts, and other commercial documentation.
  • Maintain persistent follow-up on inquiries, quotations, Purchase Orders, payments, field trials, and open opportunities.
  • Coordinate closely with operations and logistics to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
  • Leverage locally available Midland inventory to provide customers with faster turnaround and dependable supply.
  • Coordinate samples and field trials, track product performance, and aggressively convert successful trials into commercial orders.
  • Maintain disciplined tracking of customer inquiries, opportunities, quotations, and deal stages.
  • Build long-term customer relationships while identifying opportunities to upsell, cross-sell, increase volumes, and expand share of wallet.
  • Develop repeat business and pursue long-term supply agreements and customer contracts.
Who We’re Looking For
  • Prospect and develop new accounts rather than simply manage an existing customer base.
  • Build strong relationships with operators, service companies, chemical companies, distributors, and procurement teams.
  • Communicate confidently with both technical and commercial decision-makers.
  • Work independently in the field and take ownership of sales opportunities from initial contact through closing.
  • Maintain disciplined and persistent customer follow-up.
  • Negotiate effectively while remaining focused on revenue, margins, volume, and long-term account growth.
  • Understand customer operational challenges and translate them into commercial opportunities.
  • Convert samples and product trials into recurring commercial sales.
  • Maintain a strong network within the Permian Basin oil and gas market.
Compensation
  • Uncapped commission structure
  • 3%–5% commission, depending on the product sold
  • Significant earning potential for high-performing sales professionals

This opportunity is particularly well suited for an experienced oilfield sales professional who already has industry relationships and wants to directly benefit from the business they develop.
