Job summary

Tigo Energy is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager for the Northeast region to drive growth among distributors, EPCs, and installer markets across the US. You will work with the Director of Sales – North America to identify new customers and cultivate existing accounts, combining strategic market development with hands-on sales execution.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in business development or sales
  • Experience with distributors, EPCs, or installers
  • Background in construction, energy, renewables, electrical, HVAC, or similar
  • Strong account development and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel across the Northeast US and hold a US driving license
  • Established US solar market network where applicable

  • Identify, target, and secure new distributor, EPC, and installer customers
  • Grow existing distributor, EPC, and installer accounts
  • Build relationships with account stakeholders and manage full sales cycle

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to support the growth of our business among regional Distributors, EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction), and local installer markets across the Northeast US states.

Working closely with the Director of Sales – North America, the BDM will be responsible for identifying new customers and developing existing Distributor, EPC, and installer accounts in the assigned territory. The role combines strategic market development with hands‑on sales execution and relationship management.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales to implement the US sales and market development strategy
  • Identify, target, and secure new Distributor, EPC, and installer customers
  • Develop and grow existing Distributor, EPC, and installer accounts
  • Build strong relationships with account stakeholders
  • Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through commercial closure
  • Support customers with product positioning and project discussions
  • Coordinate with internal technical, operations, and customer support teams
  • Maintain accurate CRM data, pipeline management, and forecasting
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback
  • Provide regular sales updates and market insights
  • Represent the company at customer meetings and industry events
Requirements
  • 5+ years experience in business development or sales roles
  • Proven experience working with Distributors, EPC contractors, and/or installer companies
  • Background in construction, energy, renewables, electrical, HVAC, or similar industries
  • Strong capability in developing both new and existing customer accounts
  • Excellent commercial and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with US Sales leadership
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout the territory
  • Full US driving license
  • Established network within the US solar market for Distributors, EPCs, or installers
  • Experience managing project-based or solution-oriented sales cycles
  • Good technical understanding of EPC/installer systems
  • Strong CRM and forecasting discipline
