Job summary

TotalEnergies Renewables USA, LLC seeks a Regional Solar Site Field Lead to manage utility-scale solar farms in the Ohio region. You will oversee operations, safety, and contractor performance while coordinating with stakeholders to ensure peak site performance.

Required are a technical engineering degree or equivalent, 10+ years in O&M, and 3+ years of supervisory solar experience. On-site role with regional travel and strong leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering or a technical field, or equivalent work experience with five years in the energy sector.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience in solar O&M.
• At least 10 years of operations and maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of HV substation equipment and solar power technologies.
• Familiarity with LOTO procedures and Electrical Safe Work practices.
• NFPA 70E QEW for LV/HV is a plus.
• Experience with SEL, GE protection relays, and RTAC is a plus.
• Certifications in Sungrow, SMA, and TMEIC inverters are a plus.
• Experience in energy storage and wind renewables is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Enforce HSE policies and ensure third parties comply with standards.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance for multiple solar and BESS sites in the Houston region.
• Supervise O&M contractors and equipment vendors to meet contractual obligations.
• Provide technical support for equipment troubleshooting and operations to maximize safety and efficiency.

• Contribute to the development of internal operating policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Enforce TotalEnergies’ HSE policies and ensure all third parties comply with our standards.
• Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, maintenance, and administrative activities for multiple large-scale solar and BESS generation sites in the Houston region.
• Team Supervision: Manage and support O&M contractors and equipment vendors, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and best industry practices.
• Technical Support: Assist with equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and operations to ensure maximum safety and efficiency.
• Stakeholder Relations: Maintain positive relationships with landowners, suppliers, customers, vendors, service providers, governmental authorities, and contractors.

• Willingness and ability to be fully on-site and rotate between sites in the region.
