Position Overview
Prestige IT Consulting is seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to grow our client base and lead our IT sales efforts. This individual will identify new business opportunities, develop strong client relationships, manage the sales pipeline, and oversee requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs), requests for quotations (RFQs), bids, and related procurement opportunities.
The ideal candidate understands technology services, communicates confidently with business decision-makers, and can manage the complete sales process—from prospecting and opportunity qualification through proposal development, negotiation, closing, and account growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to generate new business and increase revenue.
- Identify and pursue prospects that need managed IT services, technical support, consulting, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, infrastructure, telecommunications, or related technology solutions.
- Research and monitor public- and private-sector bid opportunities, procurement portals, vendor networks, and RFP databases.
- Review RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, invitations to bid, and other solicitations to determine eligibility, strategic fit, technical requirements, profitability, deadlines, and submission requirements.
- Lead the complete proposal-response process, including coordinating internal contributors, assigning responsibilities, gathering supporting documents, tracking deadlines, and submitting complete responses on time.
- Prepare clear, professional, and persuasive proposals, executive summaries, capability statements, pricing responses, presentations, and statements of work.
- Coordinate with technical, operational, financial, and leadership teams to ensure proposals are accurate, compliant, competitive, and achievable.
- Maintain a library of reusable proposal content, company qualifications, case studies, references, certifications, insurance documents, resumes, service descriptions, and other required materials.
- Track required licenses, registrations, certifications, vendor approvals, contract renewals, and compliance documentation.
- Manage questions, addenda, pre-bid meetings, site visits, clarifications, interviews, presentations, and post-submission follow-ups related to bid opportunities.
- Review contract terms, service requirements, performance expectations, insurance requirements, and reporting obligations before agreements are finalized.
- Request clarification or assistance from appropriate legal, financial, or technical professionals when contractual or compliance issues arise.
- Conduct post-award handoffs to ensure operations teams understand the client’s requirements, deliverables, timelines, and service-level commitments.
- Review unsuccessful bids and proposal feedback to improve future submissions and win rates.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery meetings, solution development, proposals, follow-ups, negotiations, and closing.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Understand each prospect’s business needs and recommend appropriate IT solutions.
- Develop lasting relationships with owners, executives, procurement professionals, IT leaders, and other decision-makers.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, proposals, bid deadlines, client communications, and revenue forecasts in the company’s CRM.
- Establish and monitor sales goals, key performance indicators, conversion rates, proposal win rates, and revenue forecasts.
- Manage referral, vendor, subcontractor, and strategic partner relationships.
- Support the growth of existing accounts through regular follow-up, additional service opportunities, contract renewals, and upselling.
- Represent Prestige IT at networking events, conferences, vendor meetings, trade shows, pre-bid meetings, and community events.
- Help build and manage the company’s sales function, including processes, tools, documentation, and future sales team members.
