Position Summary

The Business Development Manager - Data Strategy and Governance plays a crucial role in nurturing and expanding long-term customer relationships with leading life science and pharmaceutical companies. In this dynamic position, you will drive the sales of tailored services across data & IT strategy, data governance, lab informatics, and advanced analytics. This role is responsible for overseeing the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure. Your strategic approach will be key in developing and executing successful sales strategies while representing Cencora at industry conferences and events.

Key Activities
  1. Support our customers from large life science and pharmaceutical companies.
  2. Develop and expand long-term customer relationships independently.
  3. Sell customized services in IT and Business consulting or software development.
  4. Manage the sales process from lead generation to contract closure.
  5. Develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  6. Represent our company at conferences and industry events.
  7. Maintain and document opportunities in the CRM system.
Required Skills & Experience
  1. Experience in the field of life science, computer science, or a related degree.
  2. Experience selling consulting services and software development projects.
  3. Several years of experience managing customer requirements and the sales cycle.
  4. Interest in Data & IT Strategy, Data Governance, Lab Informatics, and Advanced Analytics.
  5. Experience in the life science and pharmaceutical industry is beneficial.
  6. Fluent in English; additional European language skills are an asset.
  7. Willingness to travel.
