Overview

Repligen Corporation (NASDAQ:RGEN) is a life sciences company focused on the development, production, and commercialization of high-value consumable products used in the process of manufacturing biological drugs. Our bioprocessing products are sold to major life sciences and biopharmaceutical companies worldwide.

Repligen is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager – Chromatography whose primary role will be to sell an expanding portfolio of highly differentiated chromatography solutions that address critical steps in the production of biologic drugs to new and existing biopharmaceutical customers in the US.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of motivation to succeed, highly developed sales, and territory management skill sets in the Life Sciences sector, and is now looking for the next challenge at a rapidly evolving and innovative bioprocessing-focused life sciences company.

Reporting directly to the Director of Business Development, this will be a home office-based role. 50% travel time is expected in the US supporting a team of Bioproduction Account Managers in the region.

Responsibilities
  1. Drive and build strategic plans to create opportunities for chromatography solutions.
  2. Knowledge of Chromatography is required.
  3. Develop and execute a management plan in close collaboration with the Regional Sales Director and the BSS Leaders.
  4. Conduct sales negotiations with technical and planning teams.
  5. Establish and maintain Strategic Key Account relationships.
  6. Develop new target accounts across the territory.
  7. Develop and support customers as they move through the clinical pipeline from lab-scale to full process scale solutions.
  8. Provide accurate and timely sales reporting and forecasting with a market-leading CRM tool.
  9. Be the customer and market advocate to the internal organization.
  10. Interface with Business and Market Development to ensure that appropriate product, market, and competitive information is shared in an accurate and timely manner.
Qualifications
  1. A minimum of a BSc degree in a relevant scientific subject.
  2. A minimum of 5-10+ years of experience in the biopharmaceutical or life science industries. A strong understanding of Chromatography knowledge and the entire bioprocessing workflow is important.
  3. Proven successful sales track record of sales and developing new business.
  4. Proven ability to build mutually beneficial, personable, trusting relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners.
