Job summary

Inside Job Sales is seeking a candidate to lead the US launch of an AI platform designed for metalcasters. You will prospect foundry owners and plant managers, conduct ROI conversations on scrap, yield, and energy costs, and own deals from first call to signature.

The role is fully remote nationwide, with occasional travel for site visits and trade shows. Casting knowledge helps, sales background is teachable, and compensation includes a $40,000 base plus 5% commission on closed contracts

Job description

We're hiring one person to lead the US launch of an AI platform built for metalcasters. It handles melt planning, real-time chemistry correction, furnace efficiency, and AI camera defect detection. It's running in over 250 foundries internationally and it's new to this market. You would be the first person selling it here.

What the job is

Prospecting foundry owners, plant managers, and metallurgists. Running the ROI conversation about scrap, yield, off-spec heats, and energy costs. Site visits and trade shows a few times a quarter. Owning the deal from first call to signature. Our prospecting team feeds you qualified leads, so your time goes into conversations, not list building.

You do not need a sales background

If you've spent your career on the technical side and you've wondered whether there's more on the commercial side, this is the seat for that. I was an aerospace engineer before I moved into sales. I got a 3.5% raise, heard it compared to inflation, and figured out I wanted something with a different ceiling. Casting knowledge takes years to build. Selling can be taught. We'll teach it.

The money

$40,000 base salary, paid as a normal W-2 salary, plus 5% commission on every contract you close. Uncapped. Contracts run $50,000 to $500,000, so that's $2,500 to $25,000 per deal. One large account out-earns the base. There's no cap and there never will be.

About us

Inside Job Sales is a B2B sales development firm built for manufacturers. This is a full-time W-2 position with us, dedicated to one client account. Fully remote, anywhere in the US.

Casting experience. That's the requirement.

One of the following:

• You've worked in a foundry or casting operation: melting, pouring, molding, quality, process engineering, maintenance, or plant management. Captive operations count the same as merchant shops.
• You've sold into foundries: refractories, consumables and binders, furnaces and induction systems, lab instruments and spectrometers, casting simulation, or foundry software.

Also required:

• Authorized to work in the US as a W-2 employee without sponsorship.
• Able to travel for foundry site visits and trade shows a few times per quarter.
• Comfortable with a base-plus-commission structure, and interested in a sales role rather than a technical one.
• Sales experience is a plus, not a requirement. A mechanical or metallurgical degree is a plus, not a requirement. What we can't teach is casting.
