Job summary

Poseidon AI, Inc. is hiring a Business Development Manager to help build Poseidon’s commercial engine from the ground up.

You’ll work with the founding team to develop relationships with AI labs and enterprises on the demand side, while securing data supply partnerships across industries such as telecom, mobility, media, and other large data holders. Unlike traditional BD roles, this position sits at the intersection of sales, partnerships, and operations, with founders negotiating early deals

Qualifications

• Proven ability to develop and close complex partnerships.
• Experience building BD motion in early-stage startups that are data or infrastructure focused.
• Strong written and verbal communication with technical audiences.
• Ability to translate customer needs into clear data/product requirements.
• Capable of operating with limited structure in a fast-moving environment.
• Interest in AI infrastructure and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with AI labs, startups, and enterprises needing high-quality datasets.
• Identify and secure partnerships with organizations that hold valuable real-world data.
• Source opportunities through outbound outreach and industry connections.
• Collaborate with founders to move deals from initial talks to signed agreements.
• Oversee deal execution: scoping, timelines, and delivery expectations.
• Translate customer data needs into structured dataset sourcing projects.
• Maintain pipeline visibility and CRM hygiene.
• Represent Poseidon at industry events to generate opportunities.
• Help design Poseidon’s early go-to-market BD playbook.
