Active Care Group is seeking a Business Development Manager to grow the Case Management Division through proactive relationship building and stakeholder engagement. The role involves regular UK travel, remote work, and a hybrid pattern of home, office and field-based activity.

You will build relationships with solicitors, deputies, insurers and rehabilitation professionals, manage account plans, and support referral growth with the marketing and events teams in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The role:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for supporting the growth and development of Active Care Group's Case Management Division through proactive relationship building, networking and stakeholder engagement. The BDM will develop and maintain strong relationships with solicitors, professional deputies, insurers, rehabilitation professionals, case managers and other key stakeholders across the personal injury, clinical negligence and complex care sectors. Working closely with the Business Development Director and operational teams, the postholder will support referral growth, enhance brand awareness and ensure Active Care Group remains a trusted partner within the market.

What you'll be working:
  • Remote working.
  • Regular travel throughout the UK to attend stakeholder meetings, networking events and conferences.
  • Hybrid working model with a combination of home, office and field-based activity.
  • Occasional evening attendance at networking and client events.
  • Frequent engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.
What you’ll be doing:
Relationship Development

Build and maintain strong professional relationships with claimant and defendant solicitors. Develop productive relationships with professional deputies, insurers, rehabilitation providers, charities and case management stakeholders. Conduct regular meetings, visits and engagement activities with existing and prospective referrers. Act as a positive ambassador for Active Care Group, ensuring a professional and consistent approach to stakeholder engagement. Develop and maintain account plans for key referrer organisations.

Networking and Events

Represent Active Care Group at conferences, exhibitions, networking events and industry forums. Identify opportunities to raise awareness of the Case Management Division within key target markets. Support the planning and delivery of stakeholder events, roundtables, webinars and educational sessions. Build and nurture a network of professional contacts capable of generating referral opportunities. Work with colleagues to maximise the value and outcomes of event attendance.

Business Development Activity

Support the delivery of business development objectives and referral growth targets. Identify and pursue opportunities to generate new referrals and introductions. Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective referral sources. Track and report on business development activity, opportunities and outcomes. Ensure all engagement activities and contacts are accurately recorded within Salesforce CRM.

Market Engagement

Maintain awareness of developments within the personal injury, clinical negligence, rehabilitation and case management sectors. Gather market intelligence and competitor insight to support business planning. Share feedback and opportunities identified through stakeholder engagement with operational and commercial teams. Support the identification of emerging opportunities for service growth.

Marketing and Brand Development

Work collaboratively with the Marketing Team to support campaigns aimed at legal, insurance and rehabilitation audiences. Promote Active Care Group's case management expertise through social media, events and stakeholder engagement. Support the production and distribution of marketing materials, case studies and thought leadership content. Assist in raising awareness of the breadth of services available across Active Care Group.

Internal Collaboration

Build strong working relationships with case managers, operational leaders and clinical teams. Work collaboratively to ensure a seamless experience for prospective clients and referrers. Support cross-referral opportunities across Active Care Group services where appropriate. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and commercial awareness.

Essential Experience
  • Experience in business development, account management, stakeholder engagement or relationship management.
  • Experience building professional networks and maintaining external relationships.
  • Experience attending and representing organisations at networking or industry events.
  • Proven ability to work towards business development or commercial objectives.
  • Experience within healthcare, rehabilitation, case management, legal, insurance or social care sectors.
  • Experience working with solicitors, deputies, insurers or healthcare professionals.
  • Understanding of the personal injury, clinical negligence or rehabilitation market.
