Business Development Specialist – Instrumentation AND Sensors OEM

Remote – Central and Western Region - USA - 50% travel

STQ Partners is hiring on behalf of a global leader in industrial automation and digital solutions. Operating in 60+ countries with over 16,000 employees, this award-winning company is known for innovation and sustainability.

We’re looking for a Business Development Specialist to join their Instrumentation Division utilizing IIoT technology for asset monitoring and preventative maintenance. This is very exciting brand new tech which is set to revolutionise OEMs ability to massively reduce downtime.

Previous experience with Automation, analytic products and/or instrumentation products.

This Business Development Manager role is suited to a high-energy, self-motivated individual who can be a true hunter, calling upon new prospects & clients.

What You’ll Do:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the OEM sector.
  • Create and execute plans to grow sales and expand into new markets.
  • Build strong relationships with OEM partners and manufacturers.
  • Lead the full sales cycle—from finding leads to closing deals.
  • Present products and solutions to customers, helping them understand technical benefits.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure excellent service and smooth project delivery.
  • Track market trends and customer insights to guide strategy.
  • Use CRM tools to manage accounts and report on sales activity.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within OEM or manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with pressure, flow, temp or analytical instrumentation is a must.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to explain technical products to both business and technical audiences.
  • Organized, proactive, and goal-driven.
