Job summary

The organization seeks an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across aerospace, defense, and aviation markets in Tulsa. You will identify new opportunities, expand OEM/MRO relationships, and lead cross-functional pursuits.

Responsibilities include building RFQ/RFP pipelines, supporting estimating and proposals, and developing a three-year sales plan with executive stakeholders. A hybrid schedule in the Greater Tulsa area is expected.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of successful sales and business-development experience within aerospace manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated success generating revenue, securing new business, and expanding strategic customer accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, customer requirements, and industry dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across multiple departments and leadership levels.
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule in the Greater Tulsa, Oklahoma area.

  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing OEM, MRO, defense, and Tier 1 aerospace customers.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of RFQs and RFPs.
  • Support estimating and proposal-development activities through customer engagement, follow-up, and negotiation.
  • Develop and execute a three-year strategic sales plan with annual revenue goals, forecasts, and growth initiatives.
  • Establish long-term relationships with customer stakeholders at all levels, from procurement professionals to executive decision-makers.
  • Create customer presentations, marketing materials, and business-development content in collaboration with program management and senior leadership.
  • Develop and execute capture plans for targeted customers, programs, platforms, and strategic opportunities.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, trade associations, customer meetings, and networking events.
  • Lead cross-functional sales pursuits and coordinate with estimating, engineering, operations, program management, and leadership teams.
  • Provide market intelligence, competitive analysis, and target-pricing recommendations.
  • Monitor aerospace and defense industry trends, customer developments, new programs, emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and aircraft production forecasts.

Key Responsibilities

    • System for Award Management (SAM) registration
    • Joint Certification Program (JCP) requirements
    • Related government systems, portals, and contracting processes
