Longboard Architectural Products in the Dallas area seeks a Business Development Manager (North Texas) to expand our presence among architects, designers, contractors, and developers across North Texas and neighboring markets. This hunter-type role focuses on building relationships and driving long-term sales growth with Radical Client Care.

The position offers a base salary from $100,000 to $140,000, an uncapped quarterly bonus for meeting targets, and a 4% 401(k) match, plus comprehensive

Qualifications

  • Three+ years of sales experience in building products.
  • Based in the Dallas market and willing to travel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; able to engage architects and designers.
  • Proven track record in meeting or exceeding targets in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop deep, long-lasting relationships with clients through Radical Client Care.
  • Build and manage the brand within North Texas, Kansas, Missouri, and Arkansas market.
  • Determine value propositions and position products locally.
  • Segment customer base using data insights to tailor strategies.
  • Seek to understand clients' needs and offer solutions and support.
  • Track performance metrics and manage the sales pipeline and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for seamless handoffs and ensure regular communications with stakeholders.

Business Development Manager (North Texas)

Longboard specializes in producing high-quality aluminum architectural products that mimic the appearance of natural wood and other materials, offering both aesthetic appeal and durability across all market segments in North America. We are looking for an enthusiastic hunter-type Business Development Manager to expand our presence in the North Texas / Kansas, Missouri, and Arkansas market.

This individual will also be expected to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and work closely with peers to ensure company-wide success.

  • A base salary starting from $100,000 - $140,000, dependent on experience.
  • An uncapped quarterly bonus for meeting or exceeding mutually agreed-upon targets.

What You Will Do:
  • Embrace our philosophy of Radical Client Care to provide clients with exceptional service and product knowledge to develop deep and long-lasting relationships
  • Be responsible for developing our brand within the designated market territory in order to drive long-term sales growth.
  • Determine the unique value propositions of our products and develop strategies for effective positioning in the local market.
  • Utilize customer data and insights to segment the customer base to tailor strategies for the various customer groups.
  • Seek to understand our clients' needs and offer solutions and support
  • Track weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics
  • Oversee your sales pipeline, forecasting, budgeting and sales tracking to ensure consistent performance and goal achievement.
  • Building pipelines with strategic partners and team members
  • Engage with a wide range of key influencers, including architects, designers, contractors, and developers, with an emphasis on building strong relationships within the architectural community.
  • Deliver compelling and confident presentations to architects, clients, and stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a team-first mindset by supporting other Business Development Managers and stepping in when needed to help cover accounts or regions
  • Effectively utilize our digital sales (CRM) tools to help drive performance.
  • Collaborate with our inside team to ensure a seamless handoff for our customers.
  • Represent Longboard in a professional and safe manner at all times, upholding our brand and values in every interaction.
Qualifications:
  • Must be based in the Dallas market.
  • Three plus years of experience in sales related to building products.
  • Knowledge of exterior building products an asset.
  • Strong sales leader who can drive and deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage and educate architectural audiences
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively, while maintaining a team-first approach
  • Eager to expand our company with deep, wide, and long-lasting relationships.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Overnight travel within the territory is required
  • Regular travel within the territory is expected
  • Some travel to conferences and client presentations across North America
