Are you an experienced sales professional with a passion for architecture, design, construction, and technical products?
As an Architectural Manager, you’ll play a critical role in driving product specifications and sales within commercial construction projects. You’ll serve as a trusted resource to the architectural and design community, providing education, technical solutions, product expertise, and relationship-building support throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Business development & relationship building-develop a strategic plan to generate & increase relationships and sales with customers and key accounts.
- Provide education and training to architects, designers, developers, and general contractors on all products and services.
- Give architectural and product education meetings – CEU’s and product-specific presentations.
- Host education workshops to educate customers on products and build deeper relationships with customers.
- Assist architects and interior designers in generating specifications, with the goal of writing products into their master specifications and project documents.
- Work closely with national account managers to build relationships that allow us to increase sales and forecast market trends or potential issues that may arise.
- Manage assigned territory by giving regular product presentations, customer support, library updates, and specification reviews.
- Collaborate with the commercial manager and distribution team to generate, track, and fulfill large projects from specification through installation, as well as develop a commercial strategy for the region.
- Collaborate with Distributor Strategic Account Managers as well as A&D partners on product education meetings and events.
- Attend Commercial and Architectural trade shows to increase relationships with architects, interior designers, national accounts, developers, and industry partners.
- When necessary, visit job sites for pre-installation and post-installation education to ensure installers and architects achieve the desired finished product.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of outside sales experience with architectural products, tile installation materials or other technical sales.
- Familiarity with architectural products, territories, markets, and clients.
- Time and territory management abilities.
- Proven problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Ability to attend and actively participate in national, regional, and team meetings with overnight stays.
- Ability to travel daily to meet customers and use the remaining time for planning, preparation, and training.
- Ability to drive a Company vehicle and pass a driving record background check (including moving violations, accidents, license suspensions, etc.)
