The Business Development Manager will drive growth initiatives, develop strategic partnerships, and expand market presence. This role involves working closely with the Director of Admissions and Field Operations to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.

About Windmill:

Windmill Wellness Ranch was recently acknowledged amongst San Antonio Express-News’ Top Workplaces in 2024. Windmill Wellness Ranch is recognized by the State of Texas as a COSPD (co-occurring psychiatric disorders) inpatient and outpatient treatment center specializing in trauma therapies, substance use disorders and mental health serving patients from all over the United States. Our treatment approach focuses on addressing underlying issues instead of relying on a "band-aid" fix. Healing the body, mind and spirit requires specialty and highly educated staff trained to deal with the core issue, which is never the substance that is being abused.

Our mission is to improve the physical, spiritual and emotional health of the individual and their family through an integrated healing system including the latest technologies, group support, nursing, psychiatry, and intensive therapy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and nurture referral relationships with therapists, physicians, hospitals, EAPs, recovery coaches, alumni, and other potential sources of client referrals in the assigned territory
  • Represent Windmill at networking events, conferences, and community outreach initiatives
  • Conduct regular check-ins and provide updates to referral partners on programs, outcomes, and client progress (when authorized)
  • Collaborate with admissions, clinical, and marketing teams to ensure alignment of messaging and service delivery
  • Provide market intelligence and feedback from referral partners to help shape service offerings and improve patient experience
  • Help coordinate or host local events to increase visibility and brand awareness

Ideal Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 2+ years in a healthcare, behavioral health, or relationship-driven sales role
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining professional partnerships
  • Strong communication, follow-up, and interpersonal skills
  • Local knowledge of healthcare or treatment provider landscape preferred
  • Passion for mental health, addiction recovery, and helping others
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally (mileage reimbursed)

Essential Job Functions and Physical Requirements:

  • To successfully perform this role, individuals must be able to:
  • Travel frequently to external meetings, events, and partner sites, which may involve prolonged driving and walking
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in person and over the phone
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule that may include evenings or weekends for community events
  • Perform duties in a variety of environments, including indoor and outdoor settings
